Fighting Off the Winter Blues

If you’re like us, as winter winds down we get a serious case of Spring Fever. At Artascope, we have a lot to celebrate this spring. We are welcoming many new teachers to the studio with fresh classes. We invite you to jump in and take a new class. What new skill awaits you? Chinese Brush Painting? Drawing? Metalsmithing? How about Telling Your Own Story? Invest a little energy in creating a new passion and help keep the Winter Blues away.

Varvara Harmon, an international award winning artist and the author of many art instruction books, is teaching our Introduction to Painting workshop on Sunday, March 12th.

Interested in something more robust? Varvara is also teaching a Watercolor Landscape Artist Series starting Monday, March 27th.

Martha Baum has more than 20 years of drawing and painting experience and owns a studio in Bath, Maine. Her Drawing Exploration Artist Series starting Tuesday, March 28th is designed for beginners as well as those who want to brush up their skills.

Have you ever wanted to write your personal story? It’s much easier than you imagine. Katie Murphy of Univoice History is a personal historian, helping clients record and preserve family stories and histories. Telling Your Own Story Artist Series starts Wednesday, March 29th, and utilizes Guided Autobiography (GAB), which helps you put life events into perspective and gain a greater appreciation of your life.

Kelli McNichols is a self-taught artist working primarily in color pencil and watercolor who has been teaching at various locations for years. Her classes are packed with information and inspiration. Kelli’s Intro to Chinese Brush Painting workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 19th.

Join us for a class in our sunny and welcoming studio located in Yarmouth, Maine. Stop by during studio hours to check it out and be sure to say hello to our studio monitors while you’re there.
